THE APEX RESTORE IS NOW OPEN!

Habitat Wake ReStore is expanding with a location in Apex, NC! The thrift store with a mission, ReStore provides financial support to the Habitat Wake mission to build safe, affordable housing to low income Wake County families. We currently have locations in Raleigh and Cary and now Apex. The growth of the ReStore is a great opportunity for Habitat Wake and will allow us to build more homes, touch more families, and make a difference in our community!

The new ReStore will be located in the New Horizon Fellowship shopping center. The shopping center is located along E Williams Street and boasts a wide variety of business services, retailers, restaurants, and highway access in close proximity. The 8,400 square foot retail space originally was occupied by a CVS drugstore, and more recently used by New Horizons for youth activities and community events. The youth programs and activities will be relocated to two adjacent spaces that will be renovated to deliver improved accommodations.

The ReStore is a thrift store open to the public and sells building material, furniture, appliances, flooring, lumber, and a wide variety of home improvement items at discounted prices. Available merchandise come from individual and business donations, salvage materials garnered from Habitat Wake’s Deconstruction services program, and a small amount of purchased goods including cabinets and tile.

“New Horizons Fellowship has had a long and fruitful partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and we’re excited to provide Habitat another opportunity to serve the Apex community,” says New Horizons’ Senior Pastor Ray Wickham.

“We are thrilled to be working with New Horizons Fellowship on the expansion of our ReStore operations,” states Rick Beech, VP Faith, Family and Neighborhood Relations with Habitat Wake. "Habitat and New Horizons Fellowship (NHF) have had a wonderful relationship over the years.  NHF has sponsored several homes locally and spearheaded a 100 home project in El Salvador with their partner church in San Salvador and other churches across Canada and the United States. This is just another example of their commitment and leadership in the community.”

The Apex ReStore will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Free pick up service in Wake County is available for items that meet the donation guidelines. For additional information on Habitat Wake ReStore visit www.WakeReStore.org.
