This post is part of a series to help you get to know the many faces at the Habitat Wake ReStores. Check back every other Monday to meet a new face and read a little about the people who make up our great team.

Name and Title: Renee Bowen, Wake Forest ReStore Associate

Home town: Milford, Ohio

Current town: Wake Forest, NC

When did you start working at Habitat Wake? Sept. 1, 2017

What is your favorite thing about working for Habitat? I enjoy meeting all the customers and hearing their stories! And moving about the store (I’m not a desk person).

What does your typical work day look like? Usually very busy: moving furniture around in the store, arranging knick knacks, etc. Dust is flying, price gun is sticking, and the checkout line is getting longer by the second! It’s a fun day everyday at the Restore! New treasures to be found every day!

What do you do in your spare time? Hang out with my kiddos, walking, cooking, drinking wine! Movies, sporting events, shopping, fishing. I’m easy to please.

Do you have any pets or children? I have two children, Coby, 21 and Keely, 17. I also have a cat named Sabastian.

Favorite meal: Anything Italian

Favorite sport (to play or to watch, or both): Favorite sport to watch is soccer and baseball  (played soccer and was a swimmer).

Dream vacation: Italy

Do you have any strange hidden talents? Yes.

Favorite place to take out-of-town guests in the Triangle: 42nd St.Oyster Bar, Shuckers, Wine cellar, downtown Raleigh.

Favorite piece you’ve seen or purchased in the Restore: Really cool stuff, it’s very hard to narrow down. There was a 1960s chest, a hand-carved cabinet from India, some etched wine glasses! Oh gosh everyday there are new things I discover and want!
